CleanT Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CleanT website and your booking of cleaning services from CleanT ("CleanT," "we," "us," "our"), a cleaning service operating in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and surrounding areas (including Northport and the University of Alabama campus area). By booking a service through our site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
CleanT provides residential cleaning services — standard cleans, deep cleans, move-in/move-out cleans, and turnover cleans — booked and paid for online, serving Tuscaloosa, Alabama and surrounding areas.
CleanT's registered legal business name, entity type, and business address will be added to this section once confirmed by the business owner. Their absence here does not limit or waive any of your rights under these Terms.
2. Booking and Scheduling
- When you submit a booking through our site, you're requesting a cleaning appointment at the date, time window, and address you provide. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation (email/text) from CleanT, not merely upon submitting the form.
- Estimated prices shown during booking are based on the service type, bedroom/bathroom count, and other details you provide. The final price may be adjusted if the condition or size of the home differs materially from what was described (for example, excess clutter, pet hair beyond normal levels, or square footage significantly larger than indicated). We'll tell you before any adjusted charge is applied.
- We ask that you provide a working phone number and accurate address. Same-week availability is based on current scheduling capacity and is not guaranteed for every request.
3. Payment
- Payment is collected online through our payment processor, Stripe, at the time you confirm your booking — your card is charged when you complete the "Confirm & pay" step, before your cleaning appointment takes place.
- CleanT does not store your full card number. Card data is handled directly by Stripe under its own security standards (PCI-DSS). See our Privacy Policy for details on what CleanT itself collects and retains.
- All prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include a tip, which is optional and at your discretion.
- Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms are covered in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
4. Access to Your Home
- You are responsible for providing CleanT's cleaner with a reasonable means of entry at the scheduled time (you present, a lockbox/keypad code, a hidden key you've told us about, etc.). If our cleaner cannot access your home at the scheduled time through no fault of CleanT, this may be treated as a late cancellation under our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- You agree not to leave a cleaner alone in your home with anyone under 18 who is not otherwise supervised by an adult, and to secure pets that may pose a safety risk to the cleaner.
- Please secure or disclose the location of items that are irreplaceable, of high monetary value, or fragile before your appointment. See Section 5 and our Liability & Property Damage Policy for what this means for damage claims.
5. Property Damage and Liability
CleanT's cleaners are instructed to treat your home with care. Accidents can still happen. Our full policy on reporting damage, what's covered, and how claims are handled is set out in our Liability & Property Damage Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. In short:
- You must report suspected damage within the window stated in that policy (currently 48 hours of the service) with photos, or CleanT may not be able to investigate or honor a claim.
- CleanT's liability for any single incident is limited as described in that policy.
- Certain items and situations are excluded from coverage — see that policy for the full list before you rely on it.
If any part of this Section or the referenced policy is found unenforceable under applicable law, the rest of these Terms remain in effect, and the unenforceable part will be applied to the maximum extent the law allows.
6. Cleaner Screening and Insurance Status
CleanT will only describe its cleaners, licensing, bonding, or insurance status using language that is true and can be substantiated on request. This section will be updated to reflect CleanT's confirmed status on each of those points as that information becomes available.
7. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your home and any conditions relevant to safe, effective cleaning (pests, mold, biohazards, structural issues, aggressive pets).
- Not ask CleanT's cleaner to perform work outside the scope of the booked service (e.g., heavy lifting, exterior work, hazardous material cleanup) without discussing it with CleanT first.
- Treat CleanT's cleaners with respect. CleanT reserves the right to refuse service or end an appointment early, with a partial or no charge as appropriate, if a cleaner's safety is threatened.
8. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Our Satisfaction Guarantee
Covered in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
CleanT services are provided on an "as-is, as-available" basis. Except for the express satisfaction guarantee described in our Refund Policy, CleanT does not guarantee that cleaning results will meet every personal preference, and makes no warranties beyond what's stated in these Terms, express or implied, to the extent permitted by Alabama law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Alabama law, and except as set out in our Liability & Property Damage Policy, CleanT's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid CleanT for the specific service giving rise to the claim. CleanT is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost wages from taking time off to be home, or the cost of alternative cleaning arrangements), except where such a limitation is not permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to reimburse CleanT for losses it incurs that are directly caused by your violation of these Terms or by inaccurate information you provided about your home (for example, failing to disclose a hazard that injures a cleaner), except to the extent caused by CleanT's own negligence.
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or CleanT's services that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state or small claims courts located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
13. Changes to These Terms
CleanT may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Effective Date" above and, where practical, notify customers with upcoming bookings. Continuing to use CleanT's services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through our Contact page. A dedicated support email and phone number will be published there as soon as they're set up.
